Mark & Karen's September Newsletter

Good morning, Dear Prayers,

This is the Global Week of Prayer. I have no idea what that means. It was called to my attention this morning on a prayer app. (Lectio 365 is a great 10 minute prayer guide that I use 2-3 days a week.) I have to mix up my prayer or I get routine quickly.

Please pray for Haiti. It remains a country divided at war with itself. So many Christians. So many children without fathers. So many refugees.

Please pray for Nigeria. (especially northern) It bears the statistics at the moment of the largest # of Christian martyrs in the world. I have met pastors who have lost their families, church buildings burned, church families scattered.

Please join us in prayer for Czech, India, the Philippines, Wales, Canada, Austria, China, as countries that we have a particular burden for.

Sept. 6 our oldest grandson gets married. (in our barn) Please pray the Spirit of God reigns down on over 50% of the crowd being unbelievers.

I begin teaching a group of adults on Sunday AM thru the life of Christ.

Karen’s women’s Bible studies begin in 2 weeks.

Sept. 22-25 Sonlife annual staff retreat. That God would give clear insight and direction.

Sept. 26-29 Karen and I are going to go to Corbin, Ky. My mother’s birth place. Spiritually significant to me because it’s the place I first and consistently heard the Gospel as a little boy.

My young men’s Bible study begins again Sept. 14. I  need clear direction from the Lord on what to teach. I would love to see it grow in numbers but I really care for the young men coming.

THANK YOU for quietly praying for funds. God obviously has plans for us to continue with GLP. We have funds and salary thru November. AMEN. That’s quite “our daily bread”!!!!!!!!!

I have become very comfortable with I may be done with Global Link  Partners because of finances but as long as I’m able…..I’ll never be done with obedience and seeing people find their Savior.
