Student Link Update- June 2026

June ended up being a busy month, despite the fact that I had full right hip replacement at the end of May.  Thank you all for praying! Recovery is going well.

At the end of the month, I went to Chicago to help Sonlife with their high school evangelism training XJ – Experience Jesus.  Some of you know this as SEMP, MUV, Lead the Cause.  I had the privilege of training with Mark Gold on anchor (having a solid foundation of faith before I share with others).  Because of my surgery I didn’t go out on the streets with groups.  But I did have the opportunity to talk with a few people about Student Link and give a few books out.  Excited to hear back from them on how they are using the materials.

Student Link continues to grow.  I just delivered 20 books to Connections Church in Coon Rapids.  They have been using it since Duluth Blitz in April and love it.  They are going to expand it this fall.  Thanks to your support, I’m able to distribute these books for free. 

We are wrapping up Student Link for the Friendship Church group.  We did a special night out as a group to serve at Feed My Starving Children.  The team had a blast and then

enjoyed some ice cream after.  We will continue to meet over the summer and prepare for fall kickoff.

Team Rekindle is set and we are busy raising support to buy plane tickets at the end of the month. We have 8 team members going  along with Kendra, Rick and I.  (I will have a picture on the next newsletter). Our plan while in Czech will be to teach English at the local schools, host youth group Club and feed into their leadership team.   Our team meets monthly and will have a few outreach opportunities this summer.  Pray for team unity and protection against the enemy.

• Praise – hip surgery went well and recovery is good.

• Praise – XJ was amazing. Next year is planned for June 21-26.  I would love to have some SL students or Friendship be part of this.
